Mixing Work with Pleasure mix
Wisconsin's winning combination of meeting facilities, recreational opportunities and family-friendly attractions makes the state an ideal destination for those blending work with family fun. Wisconsin’s Dells Chula Vista Resort already had some of the best views of the Wisconsin River’s scenic Upper Dells. Now, after a million dollar expansion, Chula Vista offers two new ballrooms, 80,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a new 200,000 square-foot Exposition and Sports Center, indoor and outdoor waterparks, spas and an upscale steakhouse. Those desiring a little relaxation after a day of meetings will find pampering at The Osthoff Resort’s new Aspira Spa in Elkhart Lake. Here guests can enjoy a private, relaxing experience in one of 8 new spa suites. The recently opened Evensong Spa at The Heidel House in Green Lake is the only spa in the Midwest to offer The Labyrinth, a time-tested path of self-discovery and contemplation.
Put Golf on the Agenda of Your Next Meeting
Wisconsin is home to nearly 500 courses - 400 of which are open to the public. One of the newest is Northern Bay Golf Resort & Marina, which opened in 2006 on the secluded shores of Castle Rock Lake north of Wisconsin Dells. Golf Digest named the 18-hole course at Northern Bay Golf Resort “One of the Best New Courses Nationally” in a recent issue. Meeting space, indoor waterpark, restaurant, and spa are soon to be under construction. In the Greater Milwaukee area, Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartland is regarded by experts as one of the best natural sites for a golf course in the nation and receives its inspiration from classic Scottish and Irish courses. Nearby, The Delafield Hotel, offers a private atmosphere and state-of-the-art technology for board meetings, annual meetings and other special events.
